Living in an apartment myself, I’m always interested to see how other people configure their space in a single-storey home. And this New York apartment really caught my eye. The dining table and chairs are located in the living room, leading to the master bedroom, and show how a space can be successfully delineated even in a relatively small layout. Of course high ceilings and plenty of period detail help create an elegant look here, and a simple palette of neutrals acts as an ideal backdrop to a dramatic black table anchored by a chic pendant light. It’s a great lesson in how to create a comfortable, family home atmosphere even when square footage is in short supply.
