Blue isn’t necessarily considered a traditional shade for a kitchen, but used selectively, it can be a really effective way of introducing a splash of colour. Here, dark, French navy is introduced through accessories such as a enamelware, a small amount of fabrics and touches of the hue in the tiles and paintwork. Meanwhile white walls, bleached wooden flooring and reflective surfaces ensure that the overall scheme maintains a light, fresh feel. The huge pendant lamps over the dining table draw the eye and give the room a sense of visual cohesion. An eclectic triumph http://bit.ly/1rS7tR7
