Nowadays, it can be easy to get caught up in colour schemes and what’s on trend. But why not create a room that represents what you love – which is exactly what the owners of this kitchen-diner have done. It’s time to open up the boxes in the loft, which contain all those items you can’t bring yourself to throw away, and turn them into a design feature in your home.

I love this quirky display of vintage wall clocks as it creates a striking focal point and I imagine it to be an interesting conversation starter when guests come to visit. The look works well as it sticks to a rustic colour scheme. The time theme is continued with numbered dining chairs in a bright white, while a large Beatles poster complements the retro feel.

The only problem is – which clock tells the correct time? It would make cooking a nightmare…
