    The Frances Hodgson Burnett novel about a neglected, locked-up garden; an abandoned, sour little girl and how each brings the other back to life has long been a favourite of mine, and it came instantly to my mind when I saw this bedroom, and I imagined turning a key in a long-bolted door and emerging into a space filled with light, nature – and a little bit of magic.
